Each restaurant chooses when you pay. If it asks for payment first, checkout says This restaurant asks for payment before it starts on your order. Otherwise you can pay when you collect, at the counter or at the end.
Your bill
- Your bill shows the items, any Service charge, tax and the Total.
- If the restaurant allows tips, tap Add a tip or No tip. Tips go on top of the bill and no tax is charged on them.
- Some restaurants' prices include tax. The bill then shows how much of the price is tax.
- Restaurants can also take cash or card in person.
It says Someone is paying this bill right now.
Someone at your table has started paying. Wait a moment and check again.
