Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Phuse (“Phuse”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use the Phuse app and phuse.app (together, the “Service”), how we use and share it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email support@phuse.app.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us.
- Account details: your email address, name and profile photo. You can sign in with a one-time email code or with Google or Apple; when you do, we receive your name and email from that provider.
- Bookings and orders: the tickets, passes, reservations and food orders you make, including dates, party size, items, notes and who you transfer tickets to.
- Content you post: reviews, ratings, photos, messages, and reports you send us about content.
- Support requests and anything else you choose to send us.
Payment information. Card details are entered on our payment processor’s secure page and are handled by that processor. We don’t store guests’ full card numbers. We receive a record of the payment (amount, status and the last digits of the card). Businesses that subscribe to paid features may choose to save a card with the processor for billing.
Information collected automatically.
- Location: if you allow it, your device’s location, used to show experiences in the country you’re in and near you, and for directions. We don’t track your location in the background. If you don’t allow it, we show content for all markets.
- Camera: only when you scan a QR code (for example to check guests in or to order from a table). We don’t keep the camera image.
- Usage and device information: pages and items you view, searches, the type of device and operating system, app version, and crash and error reports, so we can keep the Service working and improve it.
- Notification tokens, if you turn on push notifications.
2. How we use information
- To run the Service: create your account, process bookings, orders and payments, issue tickets and confirmations, and let businesses check you in.
- To show you relevant experiences and promotions for the market you’re in.
- To send you messages about your bookings and, if you allow them, notifications about activity on your account.
- To keep the Service safe: review reported content, prevent fraud and misuse, and enforce our Terms of Service.
- To understand how the Service is used, fix problems and build new features.
- To provide support and meet our legal obligations.
4. How long we keep information
We keep your account information for as long as your account is open. You can delete your account at any time in the app; we then delete or anonymise your personal information, except records we must keep for legal, tax, accounting or fraud-prevention reasons, such as records of completed payments. Detailed usage data is kept for up to 13 months.
5. Where information is stored
Phuse is based in Jamaica, and some of our service providers store and process information in other countries, including the United States. When information is transferred outside the country you’re in, we take steps so that it stays protected as this policy describes.
6. Your choices and rights
- You can view and update your profile in the app, and delete your account from the app’s settings.
- You can turn off location, camera and notification access at any time in your device settings.
- You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to us using it for marketing, by emailing support@phuse.app.
Under Jamaica’s Data Protection Act, 2020 you may also complain to the Office of the Information Commissioner. If you live in another country, you may have similar rights under its laws.
7. Children
The Service isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
We use technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is completely secure, so please keep your sign-in email account secure and tell us if you notice anything unusual.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll change the date at the top, and if the changes are significant we’ll let you know in the app before they take effect.
