Food cost and menu costs

With the Stock plan, the dashboard's Reports tab has Food cost and Menu costs next to Sales.

Food cost

• Pick a period and a place. You see revenue, cost of goods, and your actual and expected food cost %, side by side with your target.
• Where it went: what recipes used, waste by reason, count differences and anything unexplained.
• A table of every product by revenue, margin or food cost %, with items over your target highlighted.
• Stock value at the end, by category. It also says how much of your revenue came from items with a recipe, and names those without one.
• Download the products or every stock movement as CSV, or print it.

Menu costs

Every item and size with its price before GCT, its cost, margin and food cost %, and what each choice adds. Managers set the target; Only items over the target narrows the list. In the app, staff who see reports find Cost and margin on a product's page.
